H1N1 vaccine is now on every clinics and hospital shelves. The question is whether it is necessary to get a jab to immune ourselves? Does the jab provides maximum immunity? How high is the efficiency of 1 jab? How fast does the virus mutates? What are the side effect from a jab?
I have being questioning myself over the weeks if I should go for a jab. If there are so many people going for vaccination, I don't see a reason that I need to be vaccinated since nobody is going to spread H1N1 to me because they are immune against it. Since the vaccines are under clinical trial, there are less evidences that the vaccines are effective in protecting the population against H1N1 viruses.
Some clinics even advertise a discounted rate if their patient get both H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines at the same time. I thought these 2 vaccines can only be administrated 1 week apart? Are the clinics trying to earn more by not following the standard rules given by MOH?
