A*Star Youngster Met Up Again

They were from Hwa Zhong institute, Temasek JC, Victoria JC, Nanyang JC, Catholic JC and Anderson JC. I am the only NYP student and they are my A*Star buddies. Remember the time when we suffered, taking our max challenges working together in the laboratory as an assistance scientist. It was our toughest time working as a young researcher. We were helping our scientists with some projects and all have PhD qualification so it was a mentally hard time for all of us. I was working with the newest mass spectrometry costing $1.6 million dollar. Working with such an expensive machine for 4.5 months is a real challenge in term of cost and operation.

Although we were from different department, we often met each other during lunch time or after work and sometime we even discussd what we did at work. Our favourite place to rest is the playground at Biopolis park. There was once when we went to the highest point of Fusionopolis and it was so high such that the Singapore Flyer could be viewed.

Today is the time when we met up again, connecting ourselves and having fun with one another. Thanks to Arvin who organized the chalet for us, it was wonderful. Priyanka was not there, otherwise the noise level would be higher.

We started our day by playing monopoly with 10 players. When we realised that the game took forever to end, we split into girls boys group but it was kind of unfair since there were 5 girls but only 3 boys. Arvin was a banker so we excluded him in our count. Of course in the end the guys resigned when the girls led the game.

We went to Pasir Ris park before sunset, Ajay brought his guitar along and played us a few nice songs. Together with the strong wind, sunset and the rhythm, it created a joyful, peaceful and romantic environment.

We sat on the grass patches nearby wild wild wet and enjoyed the night playing Indian Poker. Sadly Priyanka was not there, if not the Hindi morale would be higher. LOL... Ajay was there so it was good enough.

All the photographs were not clear, damn angry, only now I realised that I did not configure my camera setting. The pictures are 3.1 megapixel when my camera is 7.2 megapixel, the face detection was off when faces were in those photographs, I also messed up with the ISO setting and I really depend on that when not using flashes at night.
