Warm Water Well

Does anyone know that Singapore has a warm water spring? I believe not many people know that Singapore has a preserved well. This well is located at Yishun beside the army camp near Chong Pang. It can never be noticed easily by passerby since the entrance is an army camp. Furthermore, visitors will need to walk a long distance before they can see the warm water spring as shown in the photographs below.

The well is located inside this building locked by 2 metallic flame gates to protect the visitors since it is not a cold well but a well which holds boiling water. Whenever you turn on the tap, water from the well is drawn out. This water has a very strong smell like sulfur. Everyday, you can see many old people doing hot spa inside the big oil drum. They believe that this water can cure their pains, diseases and skin conditions.

Other than the well, Yishun also has a kampong area that was not demolished by the government and there are still villager staying there. It is deep inside the forest, if I am going, I need someone to accompany me. People inside are villager knows only Teo Chew dialet. It is quite scary inside. I went there once with my family.

Many people thought that Singapore has only one airport. Yishun also have one airport. The purpose of this airport is used to transport governments and VIP like president Obama to Singapore mainland.

Many people do not know there is a secret link to Jalan Kayu and out to the TPE highway. This is also located at Yishun.

There are 2 roads at Yishun where people do not want to cross. Each year, the ghost will kill one person through car accident. This road is located near golden village. Seldom people use this road since there are no HDB and commercial building after you cross the road.
