- When I was young, my mum warned me not to point at the moon, if I do, my ear will be cut by the moon while I am sleeping. If we somehow end up pointing at the moon, we must spit on our fingers and rub it in the back of our ears and tell the moon not to give us a cut behind our ears. Till my 20s, I still believe in this. Many people said it happened to them before and this has the highest belief among many people in the forums compared to other myths.
- Do not open an umbrella at home. Opening it indoor means you are insulting the sun god.
- Do not cut your finger nail or whistle at night as it will attract ghost, most people said it is superstition.
- Changing the appearance of a person face while he/she is sleeping such as by drawing on his face beyond recognition will beget the soul of the person not able to recognizes his body and thus unable to return to his body.
- When a black crow making a lot of noise near your house, a person is going to die in the next few days.
- Do not point at black crow or disturb them as it will cause unexpected illness to you that you have never seen before such as hundreds of blue black on your body which happened to one of my mum's friend before.
- If your right eye twitches, something good will happen. If the left eye twitches, something bad will happen.
- If you take pictures with 3 people in a photo, bad luck will happen to the middle person.
- To break a mirror into 7 pieces, it means something bad is going to happen.
- An onion under the bed of a sick person will draw off fever and poisons. This is quite true as it happens many times to me before. When I was young, I always have sleepwalking and the only solution to wake me up is when mum put an onion on my hand, immediately I woke up. This is seriously no joke so from that days onward, nobody can convince me that this is a myth.
- Salt can be used to ward off evil.
