Photography For Chinese New Year 2011

Once again, the rabbit zodiac is here. In just 2 more weeks, we will be celebrating Chinese New Year 2011 (CNY 2011). Photographers are to get ready with your cameras for morning spring and night streetlight shot. I have collected multiple events that will be happening just before, during and after CNY 2011, which photographers might be interested to attend.

Sentosa Spring Flower 2011 is back this year. We have Spring Flower annually except last year whereby Sentosa choose to have Spring of Light instead. Perhaps, Spring of Light did not attract much visitors or it was not as beautiful compared to the flowers. Sentosa Spring Flower 2011 will be held from 3 Feb 2011 to 13 Feb 2011, starting from 10am to 10pm daily at Sentosa Boardwalk, Merlion Plaza and Imbiah Outlook.

Chingay 2011 is the next interesting event. You can buy tickets from SISTIC or you can watch for free along the route. Chingay 2011 will be held on 11 Feb 2011 at 8:30pm and on 12 Feb 2011 at 8:00pm. It location is the Singapore F1 Grand Prix Pit.

River Hongbao (Chun Dao He Pan) will be held from 1 Feb 2011 to 12 Feb 2011 at Marina Floating Platform. It will be opened daily and light up at night. River Hongbao 2011 (http://www.ngweide.net/2011/02/river-hongbao-2011.html)

Chingay Orchard will be held on 16 Jan 2011 and 23 Jan 2011 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Orchard Road. Chingay Heartland will also be held, but the details are not confirmed yet. Most probably, Chingay Heartland should be held at Yishun, Woodland and Tampaines.



There are also beautiful streetlight at Chinatown street daily from 15 Jan 2011 to 20 Feb 2011. On the actual day of Chinese New Year, Eu Tong Sen Street will be holding a celebration with firecrackers and fireworks. River Hong Bao will be celebrating as well. CNY will also be celebrated at the Vivocity from 15 Feb 2011 to 20 Feb 2011, 6:00pm and 8:30pm.
